  My father of 72 and myself 53 were playing tourist all over Vancouver island and met several really great people and had great fun with all being total strangers. Then we went to the M&Y for dinner before r calling it a night. The waitress that seated us and took our drink order was a delight and a real gem. She had to ask the owner to serve us the drinks as she was under 19. From then on the evening turned into the worst experience. The owner delivered our drinks by placing them on the edge of the table. My father said "thank you, how are you tonight ?" As he served me my drink my father again asked. "How are you ?" The waiter (owner) huffed , ignored him and walked away without an asnwer.on the next order he served a drink not as ordered and when told so, only replied "oh well" and walked away.

  The rest of our service from the owner was insulting,rude, condescending and just plain despicable. No body should support this business to help the owner out of bussiness.

  If you want to see how not to treat customers, please go to M&Y restaurant in Port McNeill. The male restaurant owner/server is the rudest, most impolite and unappreciative person I have met. That is the nicest thing I can say about this person. You would not believe what he said and did to me on my recent visit there. To end this review on a more positive note, the food is satisfactory.
