Decided to stay there before heading out to Sointula and Alert Bay, and then to Cape Scott. Not only was the location prime (just outside of town), they had great tenting spots in the trees, a wheel barrow full of firewood for $5 (this was good wood) and excellent washroom with FREE hot showers! (everywhere else was $1/min). This place is great, and Doug and Debbie were really friendly.

We parked our URAL motorbike beside the tent, retrieved free firewood and lit a rip-roaring fire. It was quiet except for the chirping birds and the occasional protective bark from the resident brave half-breed who would charge into the dense bush to protect her campers from bears and cougars. The showers were clean and the on-site managers dedicated to limiting the evening human noise.
